Sonja Pinto (they/she) is a writer, photographer, print maker, and documentarian. You’ll find some of my writing under the name BlockPrint Writing.

I completed my graduate studies in the English Literature MA program at the University of Victoria, honing my research, editing, and written communication skills. I also have a BA in English Literature, graduating with Honours and Distinction, along with a Minor in Applied Ethics. During my studies, I developed an array of professional interests such as research-based writing, digital humanities, coding for the web, philosophy, and copyediting.

Aside from professional interests, I am runner and I also play roller derby for the Eves of Destruction. I am a linocut printmaker, a photographer, and a writer. There are bits of all the things I love in what I create.

I live on the territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples, a place that is colonially known as Victoria, British Columbia.

I am open to working on small-scale projects in photography and copywriting. Pitch an idea to me and let’s see how we can collaborate.
